Egg Recall Numbers Jump From 228 to 380 million

The numbers of egg recall had jump from from 228 million to 380 million eggs.



Salmonella outbreak sickening hundreds have led to a national egg recall and has grown to more than 380 millions eggs. Recall that affects food distributors and wholesalers across 17 states.

In California, there's 266 confirm cases of salmonella which in most cases is not fatal. All link to store bought eggs, dozens in Los Angeles alone.

The federal government says that eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa have been linked to sicknesses in 3 states.

In L.A County, four groceries store chain either pull the tainted eggs off the shelves or warn consumers about egg brands like to the Iowa company.

Angello Bellomo L.A County Health Dept, "We found that the vast majority of retail outlets had pull the product from the shelves but we did find some, remaining on the shelf."

Health officials recommend throwing out eggs if you have any doubts about what's in your fridge.

Here are the egg recall list of brands that you should take note: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, and Kemps.

Here's some egg recall numbers that you should also take note to run a check on dates and codes stamped on the carton. The plant numbers affected are P-1026, P-1413, and P-1946. The dates (recorded in the "Julian format") range from 136 to 225, according to a statement by the Egg Safety Center. For example, eggs in a carton marked with the number P-1026 137 should not be eaten.
